Thanks to all who voted and to those who were able to attend the meeting this month.  I know that next year will be a great year and I'm looking forward to it.  There will be a dinner somewhere in January for all club members and their family.  Lisa is in charge of putting this together so stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

Due to the Presidential Election our club meeting date has been changed to Thursday November the 6th at 6:30 at the Lake Board Building.  This will be our election night for our new officers for the 2009 year.  If you can't be in attendance there are ballots at our field so that you will be able to vote for your choice of candidate.

NETRC would like to thank everyone who attended our First Annual Fun Fly and Swap Meet.  We had 26 pilots and quite a few more airplanes on the flight line.  The weather couldn't have been better.  Please go to our photo section of our website for pictures of the event.  James and Brad did a great job running the event and I'm already looking forward to next year.  Several items were bought and sold during the day and there was a large amount of "stuff" for sale.  Lisa and her crew provided lunch for us and as usual I ate too much.  We had big birds, little birds and even a couple of jets burning up the sky all day.  Thanks to all of the club members who helped put this event on.  Without the club members help it wouldn't be possible.  Thanks to Andrew for taking a few pictures and putting them on the website.  Again, thanks to all of our visitors for their support.

Elections will be held at our November club meeting which will be on November 4, 2008. Some of the offices are being unopposed, however there will be a place for write-ins so that you may vote for whomever you want to. Ballots will be available at the field prior to the election so that if you can not attend the meeting you can still cast your vote. When you fill out your ballot we ask that you sign your name to the ballot so that we can verify that you have only cast one vote. Your vote will not be made public to anyone other than those counting the votes. If you cannot attend the meeting or come by the field to pick up a ballot I will mail you one if you request me to do so. Just drop me an e-mail and I will send one to you.

We had a great attendance at the meeting and I appreciate you making the effort to attend.
