Our next big event is the 22nd Annual Southern Rotary Classic September 19th through the 21st. We are expecting a big turnout with lots of fun activities planned. Last years event is still being talked about in the heli community. We had many top pilots from all around the world. This year is shaping upgreat as well. Terry has been promoting the 2008 to many of the top pilots and already has several big name pilots ready to attend. Hope to see you there!

Thanks to everyone who attended our Jet Rally we really appreciate your support.  We had thirty three registered pilots and the sky was filled with jets all weekend long.  The weather was beautiful with the winds right down the runway.  On Friday night Vernon Montgomery and David Reid cooked and served mudbugs and on Saturday night Bill Kinney and the Austin crew served up steaks.  Both meals were delicious.  Thanks to you and our club members this was the most successful jet rally we've had in a long time and I hope that it bigger and better next year.  I would like to thank Lisa, Robbie, Del and Nora for working the concession.  The food was great.  Check out the pictures that Andrew took and posted in the Photos & Videos section of our website.  We will try to post more as time allows.  Again, thanks to all who helped and all of you who attended our meet.  I know I had a great time and I hope that you did too.

Thanks to all who attended our annual Big Bird Event. It was two days of beautiful weather and everyone seemed to have a good time. A special thanks to all of our club members who participated and worked the event. We had twenty four registered pilots and I would expect that next year will be even better. Thanks to all of you who traveled to get here, we appreciate your support.

Thanks Weldon for putting the event together. I believe that we had 26 registered pilots for the event. I would also like to thank all of our club members who turned out to help support the event. Our raffle went well and also a special thanks to all who donated the items. Thanks to Lisa for cooking again, I don't know what we would do without her handling the concessions. I don't know what the final total on the money is yet but as soon as I hear I will let everyone know. I will post that in our clubhouse area. Thanks to all who came from out of town to support the event, we really appreciate it.
